This is Verity the day she came under our care, she was severely emaciated and close to death weighing only 2.5 lbs at six months old. We could feel every bone in her body. We immediately took her to the veterinarian.
Maxine Brown, an expert foster and volunteer, had to coax Verity at each meal to eat. With Maxine's care, Verity went from an extremely underweight 2.5 lbs to nearly 6 lbs and started eating on her own!
She’s a sweet, affectionate cat who has thrived thanks to foster care. Verity is now adopted and settling nicely into her new home.
